With the support of community leaders, local businesses, SFA alumni and generous local donations, we offer free, non-judgmental, safe rides to patrons in the Nacogdoches area. Our trained volunteers will provide door-to-door service in a private vehicle on the three major "party" nights each week, Thursday, Friday and Saturday. DRIVING JACKS operations demand a hefty budget, so we can only accomplish these goals with your support.
You can take pride in making our communities safer and supporting our mission to reduce the number of deaths and accidents attributed to drinking and driving. Driving Jacks protects countless lives by giving safe rides. We service the 12,000 students at Stephen F. Austin State University, the 40,000+ citizens of the Nacogdoches community, and the families and friends of all individuals who can be saved by taking a drunk driver off the road. As you can see, when you start to calculate the number of lives affected by Driving Jacks, it is insurmountable.
All donations will be used to provide safe rides and to educate the students of SFA and members of the Nacogdoches community of the dangerous risks of drinking and driving. All members of DRIVING JACKS are unpaid student volunteers and 100% of funding will stay in Nacogdoches in order to serve the people of our community. Our main objectives are to get the students of SFA and local patrons home safely and to reduce the number of drunk drivers on the streets of Nacogdoches.
